Wearable Fall Beauty Trends

We've all had a little jaw dropping moment when we've looked at some of the make up at shows at Fashion Week and thought 'did they actually do that to the models?' But behind that (sometimes ridiculous facade) the models are sporting the best beauty trends for the up-coming season. So I have scoured every online magazine and condensed it down to a manageable chunk of what you should be doing with your make up this fall.

Lashings of mascara- natural lashes are as far gone as the summer sun so it's time to put your brown mascara away. We're not talking spider lashes (sorry 2007 version Lily), but layering mascara up for a doll like look is back in a big way this fall. I've been reaching for my Benefit They're Real mascara or my Yves Saint Laurent volume effect faux clis.

High shine pouts- I'm personally not a massive fan of lip gloss. I hate it when it feels really sticky and you can just tell it's there. But lip gloss was seen over many of the Autumn/ Winter fashion shows. A good lipgloss substitute is the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. It has a great soft texture but still looks super glossy, without feeling like your lips are sticking together.

Blush rush- this fall our cheeks should be looking like we've just been for a brisk wintery walk, even if we have spent all afternoon strolling around a beauty hall. So put down the contouring palette and stock up on warm peach and rose blushes. I've been opting for the Illamasqua cream blusher in Zygomatic, a naked pink blush, or Benefit's Hervana box blush.
